NYSPA Congratulates Glenn Martin, M.D.. DFAPA
on his promotion to the dual positions of Senior Associate Dean for Human Subjects Research and Executive Director of the Program for the Protection of Human Subjects (PPHS) at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS). Dr. Martin has been a member of the full-time ISMMS Department of Psychiatry faculty for nearly twenty years, most recently serving as Director of Medical Informatics at Elmhurst Hospital Center and Queens Hospital Center.
Dr. Martin, Past-President of the New York State Psychiatric Association, currently serves as Speaker of the Assembly of the American Psychiatric Association (APA). He is also a member of the APA’s Board of Trustees and the Steering Committee for the fifth edition of the APA’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, commonly known as the DSM-5. Dr. Martin is active in the New York State Department of Health as a member of the Public Health and Health Planning Council and the Behavioral Health Services Advisory Committee.
